# WhatsApp

> Ask Kato about your workspace data over WhatsApp

Link your phone and text Kato’s WhatsApp number to ask questions about tasks, CRM records, meetings, and more — the same Ask Kato assistant, on the go.

  Availability depends on Kato’s WhatsApp setup. Use the phone number and verification instructions shown in your integration settings.

## Connect WhatsApp

1. Open Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp.
2. Follow the instructions shown to message the Kato WhatsApp number, then enter your phone number and request a verification code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code from WhatsApp and select your default workspace.
4. Text the Kato number shown on the page with a question.

## Use it in Kato

Text the Kato number shown in settings with a question about your connected
workspace. Choose a default workspace for new conversations, and use `/ws <slug>`
when you need to switch. The assistant uses the workspace access associated with
your linked Kato account.

## Check the connection

Send a simple question to the Kato number shown in settings and confirm the selected workspace. Use `/help` for commands, `/new` for a new conversation, and `/ws <slug>` to switch workspaces.

For connection errors or permission changes, return to the integration’s settings in Kato. Confirm the account and linked resource before reconnecting.
